Dear friends and supporters of Izmail Life Care Center, Ukraine.
I am really sorry that we have not been in touch for almost three months by now. I am glad Angela is back to work and I have an opportunity to write all of you and let you know what we are up to in this part of God’s world and ministry.

Many of you have been praying for Angela’s health and some of you helped with advice, money and even needed medicine for her. She is doing much better. After spending three weeks in local hospital with diagnosis of blood clots she was sent to Regional hospital in Odessa where they did not prove this diagnosis. She had to go through different types of tests and finally was prescribed the medicines which seem to help. Because of the long and heavy stresses in life she developed a deep depression with different somatic problems. She still needs your prayers.

Starting from the end of Aril the LCC hosted dear guests from the US. Paul Alexander and his granddaughter Sarah visited us as well as Art and Sharon Scott in May. Art and Sharon are the board members of the Life Care Center and have been faithful to our ministry for about 6 years by now. This year they were able to talk about the spiritual upbringing of the children to the parents, clients of the LCC.

Sharon  was the speaker of the women’s retreat in which two volunteers of the LCC took part in.

Snezhana spoke at Langston Heygood’s (the founder of the Christian Family Counseling Center in Odessa) seminar in Odessa. She spoke on the topic of sex education of children in the families. As a result we sent the materials we use to teach abstinence to 4 people from Odessa.

13 pregnant women went through the classes in School for moms within this period of time.  4 are still in process.

Yana and Nellya – two volunteers of Life Care Center got married in May and June. We wish  blessings to their  families.

9 one on one counseling sessions were held with our former clients. They ask our advice on different problems of raising children, such as stealing, disobedience, lying, etc. Through those we have opportunities to remind our clients about sin in our lives and about the need of forgiveness and salvation.

Three students from the local university went through translational practice at the LCC. They started to translate a new program we are going to use while teaching abstinence at schools.

Two different support groups were held, where the moms of the same age children could come and encourage each other.
We are so thankful as usual that God allows us to minister to Him through the work of the LCC with your help. May He bless you all.
Snezhana Popova, on behalf of the staff and the volunteers of Izmail Life Care Center.
