Medical  abortion

Medical or pharmaceutical abortion means the termination of pregnancy caused by drugs instead of surgical abortion. Such type of abortion was first done in the US in 2000 as a "softer", "gentler" form of abortion, termination of pregnancy in the early stages,  8  through 10 weeks. Now it is often used in Ukrainian medicine.

Let me remind you how a ten-week baby looks,  it is a child, but not a "cluster of cells" or a "blood clot" as we are used to hear. By ten weeks the child has already arms and legs, he can suck his tiny finger, open a mouth, stretch and even yawn.
A set of tablets which are taken by a woman is not a magic potion for a termination of pregnancy or its disappearance. The effect of Mifepriston is that it interrupts the flow of blood and oxygen from the mother to the child, which causes its death within one or  two days. After the child is presumably dead , the mother takes another drug which causes uterine contractions and bleeding which will expel the dead body of a baby from her uterus.

Such an abortion, which at first glance seems to be less dangerous for the mother’s health can also have serious consequences, especially in cases when a woman has an ectopic pregnancy. Such abortion doesn't terminate ectopic pregnancy and its failure to detect may lead to disastrous consequences.

Availability of medicines leads to the fact that some women, including teenagers, may decide to take drugs without medical supervision, which may also lead to unintended consequences.
This abortion  terminates not only pregnancy, but also a child's life, therefore it isn't in any case "softer" or "gentler" for his life.
