The professionals teach

In the "School for moms"of Izmail Life Care Center a series of new classes for parents was launched. This time the doctors volunteered. An experienced gynecologist and obstetrician Irina Serpeninova conducted a first lesson on "Pregnancy  is a miracle", during which she told expectant mothers about pregnancy physiology in as simple and interesting way as possible, about the wonderful changes that occur in the body, and she also touched upon the importance of post-natal period. After the lesson the participants had the opportunity to ask the specialist some questions . They also talked about the need for treatment during pregnancy edema, inflammation of any etiology and decided that Irina Serpeninova would prepare an educational program on aging degrees of placenta and placental structure in accordance to certain gestational age.

 Olga Chernaya, the pediatrician of the Izmail hospital, conducted an equally interesting and useful lesson. The lesson was about nutrition of a pregnant woman, lactating mothers and infants, about the children who are breast-fed and who as a result of it catch acute respiratory diseases,  diabetes and allergic diseases less often. Expectant mothers now know that the breastfeeding stimulates a child's brain development, prevents breast cancer, strengthens the emotional closeness of mother and child, and saves the family money. Thus the lactating mothers acquire more of self-confidence and the ability to naturally delay new pregnancy. They also spoke about contraindication to breastfeeding.

We are grateful to our wonderful doctors for taking their time to prepare and conduct lessons in their very busy schedule. A volunteer is a person who does good for free, helps people and donates a lot for others. We wish them God's blessings and look forward to a long term cooperation.
