This question is asked by the parents, teachers, and people of older generation especially if it concerns their sexual education. Snezhana Popova, founding director of Izmail Life Care Center, answered this and many other questions about sexual education of children and teenagers during the Seminar "How to counsel survivors of sexual abuse" held by Christian Psychological Counseling Center "Springs" in Odessa in the beginning of May. 2012. Students, majoring in psychology, practicing psychologists, parents, church ministers took part in it.
She introduced two main Programs "You are Unique" and "Changes" which have been successfully used by the Life Care Center in Izmail high schools and other methods of sexual education. It is not easy to lead a conversation with teenagers about relationships between boys and girls if you do not know how to find a "key" to their heart.
Sometimes we-adults, do not know how to even start a conversation with teens about their sexuality, how to tell them that virginity is the only best gift they can give to their spouses and that sex is meant for marriage and not for entertainment. We wish that adults would learn more how to talk to their teens about sex not in abusive way by which they will help they young people avoid physical and emotional consequences of sexual relationships before marriage.
